On April 11, 2016, the far-right National Radical Camp (Obóz Narodowo-Radykalny, ONR) organized a street demonstration in Warsaw against the presence of immigrants in Poland. The protest took place during the height of the European refugee crisis, a period when nationalist groups across the continent sought to mobilize public fears about migration and cultural change.

Led by figures such as Robert Bąkiewicz, ONR activists marched with white-and-red flags, nationalist insignia, and banners displaying anti-immigrant slogans. Chants called for the defense of Poland’s borders and traditions, framing immigration as a direct threat to national identity and security.

The event highlighted how ONR and similar organizations were able to bring radical rhetoric into the public sphere, using street demonstrations to amplify their political message. It also reflected the wider rise of xenophobic and ultra-nationalist discourse in Central Europe, as populist leaders and movements instrumentalized the migration issue to strengthen their influence.
